Sherif Boctor, CPA
Managing Principal

Sherif is a Certified Public Accountant with over two decades of experience in tax consulting and advisory services. His particular areas of expertise include pass-through entities, individuals and corporate income tax issues.

As founding principal of PSG Certified Public Accountants, Sherif has spent the past ten years providing guidance to a wide range of high net worth individuals and business owners. His knowledge and experience extends to complicated tax issues that include real estate transactions, choice of entity classifications, and appellate matters before the IRS, Franchise Tax Board and the Board of Equalization.

Sherif brings a practical hands-on approach to his business clients, as a successful past owner and manager of a variety of businesses ranging from HR outsourcing and consulting to restaurants. This combination of business experience and tax expertise makes him an invaluable asset and business partner to his clients.

Prior to private practice, Sherif spent nine years working for the Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department, and the State Controllers Office. While at the FTB, Sherif served as the audit manager of the newly formed pass-through entity unit and was responsible for creating statewide audit policies in this new area of audit compliance. Sherif was deemed a tax matters specialist in S-corporation and partnership taxation within the FTB.

Sherif married his high school sweetheart and together they have three beautiful children, Hannah, Noah and Luke. Together, they enjoy watching movies, putting puzzles together and playing their own made-up game of “guess that movie line.”

Sherif has a B.S. in Accountancy from California State University, Sacramento and is a member of the California Society of CPAs.
